דוד גרינברג

דוד גדל בניו יורק, שם הוריו הראו לילדיהם שפלורליזם יהודי הוא אימפרטיב דתי והכרח בסיסי להמשכיות עם יהודי מאוחד. רבים מהחוויות החינוכיות המעצבות של דוד היו במוסדות ששיקפו את הערכים הללו. לאחר שעלה ארצה והגיע לרעננה עם אשתו, מינדי שכטר גרינברג ז״ל, והרחיבו את משפחתם כאן, התברר עוד יותר שאם הם רוצים שלילדים שלהם, לקהילה שלהם ולמדינה תהיה גישה לחוויות דומות ולהשפעתם, הם צריכים ליצור מודל כזה בעצמם. מקבוצה קטנה של אנשים בעלי ערכים משותפים סביב שולחן קפה בסלון ועד למשכן המדהים שאנו מאכלסים כיום, ומאות התלמידים המאושרים שעברו ועוברים במרחבי הלמידה שלנו, שרדנו כנגד כל הסיכויים, וממשיכים לצמוח למופת ללכידות יהודית, מצוינות לימודית ומענשליכקייט. ניהול עסק עם משפחתו-שותפיו איפשר לדוד את הכבוד והזכות לעזור לתמוך ולהנחות את בית הספר ואת ייעודו במהלך שני העשורים האחרונים.

David Greenberg

Growing up in NY, David’s parents showed their children that Jewish pluralism was a religious imperative, and a basic necessity for the continuity of the Jewish people. Many of David’s formative educational experiences were in institutions which reflected these values. After making Aliya to Israel and Ra'anana with his wife, Mindy Schachter Greenberg ז״ל and expanding their family here, it became even clearer that if they wanted their children, community and country to have access to similar experiences, they would have to create such a model themselves. From a small group of like-minded individuals around a living room coffee table to the beautiful משכן we now inhabit and the hundreds of joyful students who pass through the Meitarim Ra’anana learning spaces, against the odds, we survived and continue to grow into an exemplar for Jewish cohesiveness, scholastic excellence, and menschlichkeit. Managing a business with his family and partners has allowed David the honor and privilege to have helped support and guide the school and its mission over the last 2 decades.
